Division of a large IT company, they are one of the largest Chartered Accountancy firms in the Western part of the country. They have offices in and around India along with Global locations in Africa. Being a chartered accountancy firm, they have resources working out of their office locations at the same time at client locations. Interns and Auditors form a significant % of the company’s workforce which means a highly mobile workforce requiring tracking.

One significant challenge was managing timesheets. This further complicated matter since Project Management was not in places. Most of the work was managed using excel sheets, which was not only an inefficient way to manage work, but also required to be shared with resources through the e-mail service, delaying salaries, leave, reimbursement other than the all-important project tracking.

Workrig was selected due to its ability to work with both People and Work Management, that meant both HR and PPM were to be used. A rare combination, Workrig’s integrated ability to even process bills and update receipts. A comprehensive solution, with integrated Timesheet and Payroll Management with the extremely complex workflow was designed. Staged implementation with modular releases were planned, with the complete project released for full usage. A time intense solution was designed since resources were not ready to work on Timesheets on a daily basis, which meant that Timesheets were filled mostly on 1-2 days, while processing in a day or two. The entire activity also meant large processing of data with intrinsic calculations for Costing & Analytics.

Today the software not only processes but provides critical analytical data for decision support across various data points, thus becoming an extremely robust and efficient system for managing People and Projects. Data is analyzed for HR, Cost Control, Project Performance.
